   • Participants must upload the 5-min video on Youtube on or before January 28, 2018; 6:00 PM.
   • Send the Youtube link (video URL) to info@pinoyrobotgames.org 
   • Failure to upload will lose the points from International Judges.

Innovative (Creative)

Game Description:
The innovative robot category is one that allows teams to innovate, design and build their robots according to the NRC 2018 theme "EXPLORE AND PROTECT BENHAM RISE". Teams are to innovate robot designs to be able to express what the theme means to them. There are no strict rules for this category but mainly the judging criteria for the robots.

Penguin Wars 2 (Humanoid)

Game Description:
Penguin Wars is a robot game mimics the penguin wars. It was ported to the original Game Boy (1990), MSX and Nintendo Entertainment System by ACII under the title Penguin Wars. In Penguin Wars 2, the goal of the robot is to place as many balls as possible to the correct box. The ability of the robot to pick a ball is very important.

Game Description:
Two robots compete in a head-to-head match following the basic system of traditional human sumo matches. Robots are to be fully autonomous and self-powered. Weapons of any sort that pose as a potential danger to robots and humans are strictly not allowed.

Advanced Line Tracing

Game Description:
The objective of Line Tracing is for your autonomous robot to complete the course in the shortest period of time while accurately tracking the line from START to FINISH.  A game is played by one robot per team having 2 members. Only one team member may approach the playing field.

Fire Fighting

Game Description:
This is an autonomous robot competition between 2 teams to extinguish as many occurrences of fire as possible at different positions in the arena. The team with the higher number of fire extinguished within the given period wins.

Mission Challenge

Game Description:
The objective of the robot is to rescue the survivors trapped in a specific location. To get there, the robot must clear out obstacles. Hazardous waste must be placed in a secure area to allow passage of the survivors. Paths are made in order for the robot to reach its destination.

Robot Soccer (Humanoid)

Game Description:
This is a robot game that mimics human soccer. The participant will control humanoid robots to score more goals in opponent’s net. Understanding of humanoid’s mechanics and strategy is important and cooperation with teammates is required.

SeaPerch (NEW)

Game Description:
An innovative underwater (ROV) robot contest that allows participants to use Engineering & Science concepts in a marine engineering environment. Throughout they learn skills in ship and submarine design and solve problems related to it.

Robot Rugby (NEW)

Game Description:
Rugby is a team sport where a plum-shaped ball is brought to the end goal to score. The game will have 5 robots on each side trying to go after the same ball and score a goal. Robots must be able to withstand abuse of bumping and bring the plum-shaped ball across the goal line.

mBot Line Tracing (NEW)

Game Description:
This game requires an mBot robot. The objective of mBot Line Tracing is for your autonomous mBot to complete the course in the shortest period of time while accurately tracking the line from START to FINISH. The team with the fastest robot who will finish the course wins.

Search and Rescue (NEW)

Game Description:
This game requires a robot that can maneuver through a series of obstacles and accomplish a series of tasks at each station within a total given time. Robots can be remote controlled or autonomous or both. The highest scoring robot wins.

Battle Ball Z (NEW)

Game Description:
Two teams go head-to-head in an all intense ball game. This is a fusion of robots, soccer, rugby, defense strategy and more. Robot to robot collision is highly encouraged. The highest scoring team wins.

Robot Dancing 

Game Description:
A robot shaped like a human is called a humanoid robot. The challenge is how to make it move without falling. Participants must watch for the center of gravity while creatively program a choreography of movements for a set of music.
