How to Organize a Camp

The Foundation conducts training for teachers for a group of schools and also supports training students through robot camps conducted by certified foundation members and trainers.

 

ROBOT CAMP OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS 

(updated:  COST REDUCED!)

1. The 3-day Camp

    2. The Training modules will be emailed to your trainers to prepare in advance.
    3. They will be trained for one day on “How to Stage the Training Camp,” or they will attend the regular “Training the Trainer” in Manila.
    4. The school pays Php 30,000 inclusive of Batteries, rental of 20 Robots, and 1 trainor.  The school also receives 1- ROBO BOX Kit at the end of the training.
    5. The school covers for the transportation, food and lodging of the trainor/s during the span of the training.
    6. The training will be for three (3) full days.
 2. The Week-long Training
    1. Training is divided into 2-hr modules with simulators and diagrams instead of actual robot. Five (5) modules will be covered for five (5) days.
    2.  A full 8-hour commitment is recommended on the 6th day. During this training, the robot kits will be brought to the school for the final stage of constructions and contest.
    3. The Training modules will be emailed to your trainers to prepare in advance.
    4. They will be trained for one day on “How to Stage the Training Camp.”
    5. The school pays Php15,000 covering the rental of materials (20 ROBOTS), trainings, and modules.   The school can also opt for 10 ROBOTS rental at a cost of Php8,000.
    6. The school covers the transportation expenses.
    7. TRAINORS WILL COME FROM THE SCHOOL.

 3. Be a Partner and a Leader (For Colleges and Universities)

Colleges of Engineering who would want to be the leaders and trainers of Robotics in their province/area/region can partner with the Foundation.

MECHANICS

  1. Arrive at a set of schools to train, preferably 8 or more schools.
  2. Train students/clubs/teachers of your school to become trainers and coaches. The Foundation will send trainers to train them. Your school will cover their transportation and accommodation expenses.
  3.  Avail 16-20 robot kits for the training. The Foundation can assist in securing loans for this purpose. LGUs, Alumni, and other local organization can also be tapped.   Robot kits can later be sold to participating schools after the camps.
  4.  Stage the camps, trainings, and so on.
  5. The foundation will help in promoting a regional contest. The winner will be sent to the National and International contests.
  6.  For every camp held, a contribution of Php2,000 is asked by the Foundation for the development of the training materials.
  7. Reproduction and incidental expenses will be covered by the partner schools

 

Training Trainers (FREE and Limited Offers ONLY)

The Foundation is presently making use of a small fund to train trainers.  Here are the details of getting trained.

  1. A HOST school sets a date for the training and invites a minimum of 10 schools in the area with a minimum of 30 participants.
  2. On this stated date, the Foundation reserves the equipment to the school at NO RENTAL COST and sends trainers.
  3. The Foundation will shoulder transportation cost for each PROVINCE only once.  Succeeding trainings in the area is done by the local recipients.  Trainers coming from Manila on succeeding trainings must be shouldered by the HOST School.
  4. Host school shoulders accommodation and lodging expenses of the trainers.
  5. Host school can charge participants up to 700 pesos for incidental expenses for each participants
  6. Host school prepares 60pcs - AA Black Heavy Duty Batteries to be used during the training.
  7. Trainers also give the training materials in softcopy after the training.  It is the HOST School or the trainees who will shoulder the cost of the CD.
